Pressing Notes

This film suffers from an awful transfer in every respect. The entire film is way too dark and has no detail. The scenes within the auto plant are nearly black. How these folks actually build checker cabs in these conditions is a mystery. The audio is equally muddy and has no detail at all. There is much better available on DiscoVision, but not much worse. A truly dreadful 115 minutes. The disc uses the normal orange side bumpers. However, the bumper at the end of side 1 is off-centered to the left by about 75%. Some copies of sides 1, 2 & 4 have exhibited 20 Frame Skip.

Just an interesting note. The image on the back jacket with Richard Pryor and Harvey Keitel in the john, it's backward.
