Stardate 50126.4 Tuvok (Tim Russ) has a dark secret in his past - one that might destroy his future. When Tuvok experiences mental pain and dizziness, the doctor (Robert Picardo) believes the cause may be a repressed traumatic memory. With his neural system starting to degrade, Tuvok asks Janeway (Kate Mulgrew) to mind-meld with him, hoping that together they can bring the memory into consciousness. The mind-meld takes Tuvok and Janeway to the site of Tuvok's first Starfleet assignment - the Starship Excelsior, commanded by Captain Hikaru Sulu (George Takei). Tuvok clashes with Sulu, objecting to their mission: an attempt to rescue Captain Kirk and Doctor McCoy from the Klingon homeworld. As the Excelsior heads into battle, the mind-meld goes amiss. Suddenly, Tuvok is in grave danger...and Janeway is visible to the Excelsior crew. |
