Stardate Unknown After suffering for weeks with an ear infection without a day off, Rom (Max Grodenchik) finally collapses in Quark's bar and is taken to the infirmary. Bashir (Alexander Siddig) is outraged that Quark (Armin Shimerman) treats his employees so badly and encourages Rom to form a union to protect them from further exploitation. Though he is fearful of angering the Ferengi Commerce Authority, Rom calls a secret meeting of the bar's employees, forms a union and outlines a list of demands. When Quark laughs them off, Rom calls a strike and the standoff begins. Soon F.C.A. Liquidator Brunt (Jeffrey Combs) arrives and promises to settle the strike by any means necessary. |
