Stardate 45156.1 During a brief respite from duty, the Enterprise is seriously damaged when it unexpectedly collides with a quantum filament. Communications are cut off, power failures occur and bulkheads are sealed, trapping the crew in different sections of the ship - including Keiko O'Brien, who is about to give birth in Ten-Forward. With an injured Picard (Patrick Stewart) caught in the turbo-life, Counselor Troi (Marina Sirtis) must take command of the bridge. As the disaster worsens, the ship's engines begin to overheat and threaten to explode. Faced with a life or death decision, Troi must put her faith in crew members with whom she cannot communicate. If she's wrong, everyone on board will perish. |

Stardate 45122.3 After a romantic vacation on Risa, Riker (Jonathan Frakes) returns to the Enterprise with a pleasurable electronic mind game. Eager to share his new gift, he passes the game to some friends and soon it spreads all over the ship. Meanwhile, Wesley Crusher (Wil Wheaton) arrives on vacation from Starfleet Academy and becomes infatuated with Mission Specialist Lefler (Ashley Judd). The two quickly make a date for dinner during which they both notice the game's popularity is increasing rapidly. Intrigued, they test the game and discover it is highly addictive and interrupts higher reasoning processes. They also soon learn that they are the only ones left on board unaffected - and it's up to them to save the Federation from a sinister coup. |
