Due to mastering limitations, (CLV was limited to 55 minutes per side) Flash Gordon got attacked by a
run-away pair of scissors in its DiscoVision treatment. There are a few very good copies to be had, but one must
look hard. The disc includes the MCA Videodisc standard "shrinking numbers" artwork at the end of side 1 and at
the beginning and end of side 2.
Release History
MCA Home Video released a restored version of Flash Gordon on LaserDisc (Catalog #: 13006) in 1985, returning
the film to its full 111 minutes. MCA/Universal Home Video released a Widescreen (2.35:1) Digital Sound version of Flash
Gordon (Catalog #: 41518) in July 1993.
