As MCA DiscoVision incorporated the rigid disc structure into the format, bonded disc tests began. Bonding methods were explored and whole discs produced. This, of course added challenges of keeping the disc halves centered during bonding, smoothing the outside bonded edge and maintaining disc balance. This would not only give the disc added rigidity, but would help to further protect the recording surface, which was so exposed to damage with the single sided discs. During this period, DiscoVision engineers continued to work on CLV encoding.

The list here represents a handful of bonding tests, discs which were pulled from the lab by technicians. If you have any discs from this period that are not listed, please drop me a line and I'll add them.
